'And His great wonders see'

If you'd like to know more about it and and possibly take part (it's international) go here: http://hope-poverty.blogspot.com
I have this piece for sale in my shop http://janeleehorton.etsy.com and if it sells the money will go to the charity and I'll donate another piece, but otherwise this will be one for the exhibition,
(I plan to send in two )
I'm finding hard to create a sutable piece on the theme of 'Hope & Poverty' I don't know why.....
but that's why I'm still a little undecided about the suitability of this work.
The idea behind it is the Phoenix rising from the urban trash of broken and burnt out cars, the cars representing our ideals of wealth and plenty for all rusting and abandoned.
The 'bird' that rises from this is a strange but beautiful creature, a hybrid, crowned and raidiating joy and hope.
The butterfly, symbol of the soul, and the rain that cascades from the birds wings is to feed and replenish the earth.
Well I hope that all comes across.
